My Story

My name is Ahmad Jamal.

I am a doctoral researcher in psychology and the social sciences where I work on the psychological and sociological mechanisms behind fake news, misinformation, propaganda, and conspiracy theories.

My focus is on the ways in which human beings process information and how this information influences behaviour; within the broader context of social media, political misinformation, and online conspiracy theories.

​My ambition is to observe the cost to society and to the health of democratic processes posed by the new forms of sophisticated digital propaganda.
